Working With the Lion's Gate Portal

Working With the Lion's Gate Portal

This week marks the Lion's Gate Portal, which occurs on the 8th of August and is a powerful energetic gateway. It's associated with greater clarity, heightened intuition, manifestation, and consciously choosing the direction you want your life to take. Whether you see it as a spiritual event or simply a symbolic reminder to pause, reflect, and reset, I think it offers us all an opportunity to become much more intentional about how we're living our lives.

Although the 8th of August is considered the peak of the Lion's Gate Portal, many people work with this energy for around a week before and after that date. Rather than thinking of it as a single day, think of it as a window of opportunity - a time to slow down, set clear intentions and consciously choose what you want to create moving forward.

Over the past month we've been talking about slowing down, doing a mid-winter spring clean for the soul and creating enough silence, space and stillness to reconnect with ourselves. We've explored what it means to honour our own journey, gain greater clarity about our values, let go of what no longer feels aligned and reconnect with the truth of who we really are. Looking back now, I think this process has been preparing us for exactly this moment, because before we can consciously create what's next, we first need to create space for it.

We discuss the Lion's Gate Portal in this week's Quantum Thread Podcast, where Kaz and I explore what this time represents and, more importantly, how we can use it as an opportunity to become intentional about what we're choosing to create in our lives. For me, that's really the gift of the Lion's Gate. It reminds us that we have the opportunity, every single day, to consciously choose where we're placing our time, energy, and attention.

One of the most powerful tools we have available to us is our imagination, yet somewhere between childhood and adulthood many of us stopped using it. As children, we imagined without limits. We created worlds that didn't yet exist, dreamt about who we wanted to become, and explored life with endless curiosity. As adults, we're often taught to be more logical, more practical, and more realistic, but perhaps we've underestimated just how important our imagination really is.

Interestingly, neuroscience has shown that when we vividly imagine an experience, many of the same neural pathways are activated as when we physically experience it. It's one of the reasons elite athletes have used visualisation for decades. By mentally rehearsing success, they're helping their brain become familiar with the outcome they're working towards. In many ways, imagination allows us to begin living emotionally in the future we're consciously choosing to create.

Of course, imagination isn't about sitting back and wishing for life to magically change. It's about becoming so clear about what you want your life to feel like that your choices naturally begin moving you in that direction. If you're craving more peace, start making decisions that create peace. If freedom is important to you, begin choosing experiences that support freedom. If connection is what your soul has been longing for, spend more time with people and places that genuinely fill your cup. The clearer you become about the life you're choosing, the easier it becomes to align your thoughts, your energy, and your actions with that vision.

This is also where discernment becomes so important. We've spoken a lot recently about protecting your energy, sealing the leaks, and becoming more intentional with how you spend your time. After taking the time to do the inner work, the real practice begins when we step back into everyday life. It's very easy to be drawn back into old habits, familiar patterns, and the heavier energies that leave us feeling tired and disconnected. The invitation now is to integrate everything you've discovered about yourself into the way you live each day, becoming more selective about what you say yes to, who you spend your time with, and what environments you choose to immerse yourself in.

Alongside imagination and discernment sits another incredible gift - your intuition. We live in a world that encourages us to analyse everything with our logical mind, yet some of our wisest decisions are first sensed before they can ever be explained. Our intuition quietly nudges us towards what feels expansive, peaceful and aligned. The more we learn to trust that inner knowing, the more naturally we begin living in alignment with our authentic selves instead of continually looking outside ourselves for answers.

As someone who works with energy and helps people create shifts through conscious awareness, I believe this is what Conscious Coherence Connection is really all about. First, we become conscious of what we're choosing to create. Then we create greater coherence by bringing our thoughts, emotions, and actions into alignment with those choices. From there, we deepen our connection with ourselves, with others, and with the life we're intentionally creating.

So, while the Lion's Gate Portal is open, make the most of this window of opportunity. Become intentional about what you're choosing to create. Use your imagination to amplify your vision, allow yourself to dream without limits, and begin feeling into the life you're consciously creating. The clearer your intention, the stronger the signal you send to your subconscious mind and the Universe. Then trust your intuition, stay discerning with your time and energy, and allow those opportunities to unfold in their own perfect timing.

Your Next Step

The Lion's Gate Portal is often considered to be active for around a week before and after the 8th of August, so rather than thinking of it as just one day, use this whole period as your opportunity to pause, reflect, and intentionally create. Spend some time in nature or simply sit in silence and ask yourself what you're choosing to bring into this next chapter of your life.

As always, Trust. Believe. Allow.

💫Just Choose Life. Choose consciously. Live aligned.
