You’ve Made the Space … Now What Are You Choosing to Create?

Over the past few weeks, we’ve talked a lot about letting go, clearing out the old, lightening the load, and making space for something different. We’ve popped a few energetic pimples, spring-cleaned our lives, and hopefully shed some of the thoughts, beliefs, behaviours, and baggage we simply don’t need to keep carrying. But once we’ve created all that lovely new space, there’s a pretty important question to ask: what are we choosing to put into it?

This is our opportunity to consciously choose what we actually want. our lives to look and feel like from here. Not what we think we should want, what somebody else expects us to want or what our old programming tells us is realistic, but what we genuinely desire when we get underneath all of that and listen to ourselves.

We spoke about this in this week’s Quantum Thread Podcast with Kaz, particularly the idea that what we are choosing already exists as a possibility. From an energetic perspective, I love thinking about it this way because it changes the question from “Can I have this?” to “Can I allow myself to imagine, feel, and ultimately choose this?” Rather than continually creating our future from the limitations of our past, we can begin creating from the possibilities of what comes next.

And this is where our imagination becomes such a powerful tool. Instead of vaguely thinking, “I'd like my life to be better,” get curious about what better actually means to you. What does your life look like? How does it feel when you wake up in the morning? Who is around you? What are you doing with your time? What gives you joy? What does freedom look and feel like to you? Most importantly, can you begin to feel into that experience now, before there's any physical evidence that it has arrived?

There’s actually an interesting scientific layer to this too. Research into mental imagery and mental rehearsal has shown that imagining actions and experiences can engage some of the same neural systems involved when we actually perceive or perform them, which is one reason visualisation is used extensively in sport and performance. Imagination isn't simply daydreaming; it can help us mentally rehearse possibilities and prepare ourselves to respond differently when opportunities arise.

From an energetic perspective, I take that another step further. Everything is energy, frequency, and vibration, so when we become really clear about what we're choosing and begin imagining and feeling ourselves experiencing it, we're also becoming more intentional about the energetic signal we're sending out to the universe. The thought creates part of the signal, but when we add the feeling, emotion, and embodied sense of what we're choosing, we begin to amplify it. It's almost like turning up the volume on the frequency we're broadcasting.

And if we're asking the universe to match that signal, it makes sense to become conscious of what we're actually transmitting. We might consciously say, “I choose abundance, freedom, love, and joy,” while underneath we're continually broadcasting “I'm scared, it won't happen, I'm not worthy, and what if everything goes wrong?” That's a pretty fuzzy signal. The more we can bring our thoughts, feelings, intentions, and actions into alignment with what we're choosing, the clearer that signal becomes. Where your attention goes, the energy flows, so what are you choosing to amplify?

Of course, this is usually when our limiting mind decides to join the party. We start imagining something wonderful, and within thirty seconds the head jumps in with all the reasons it couldn't possibly happen. You can't do that. You're too old. You don't have enough money. What will people think? What if you fail? Rather than allowing those thoughts to shut down the possibility, perhaps we can recognise that they're often shaped by previous experiences, conditioning and fears rather than being predictions of what will actually happen.

And this doesn't mean we disregard our past. Quite the opposite. Our challenges have given us learning, knowledge and wisdom that we can now bring forward. We know ourselves better. We know more about what we don't want and, hopefully, we're becoming much clearer about what we do want. Rather than allowing our past to limit our future, we can use what we've learnt to help us create it.

This is where manifestation meets materialisation, because conscious creation isn't simply sitting back and waiting for the universe to deliver it to your front door.  We still have to participate. Feel into what you're choosing, connect with it through your heart, use your imagination to expand and amplify the signal, and then bring in that wonderful logical brain and ask, “Okay, if this is what I'm choosing, what can I actually do today to begin moving towards it?” We notice the opportunities, make the choices, and take the actions that align with what we're asking to bring into our physical reality.

As someone who works with energy and helps people shift through conscious awareness, I think this is where being the master creator of our own life becomes really exciting. We can't control everything that happens around us, but we can become much more conscious of the thoughts, energy, choices, and actions we're bringing to our own journey. We can stop automatically creating tomorrow from yesterday and begin sensing our way forward from who we are and what we're choosing now.

So now that you've created some space, don't be in too much of a hurry to fill it. Sit in it for a moment. Play with it. Use your imagination and allow yourself to dream bigger than your limiting mind might normally permit. See it, sense it, and feel into the frequency of it. What does it feel like to be you already living that life? What signal would that version of you be sending out? Then begin making conscious choices that match it.

These really are exciting times for change. We can take the wisdom from where we've been, combine it with the possibilities of where we're going, and consciously choose what we want to bring into our lives next.

After all, you've made the space. Now what are you choosing to create, and what signal are you sending out to meet it?
