Your Mid-Year Life Review

Your Mid-Year Life Review

If you were the CEO of your own life, what would your six-month performance review look like?

Can you believe we're already halfway through the year?

Honestly ... where did the last six months go? I know time is quickening and all that, but honestly - halfway in already?

If you're anything like me, it feels as though we only just welcomed in the Year of the Fire Horse and already it's galloping towards the finish line. This year has certainly lived up to its reputation. It's been fast, transformational, exciting, challenging and at times, completely exhausting.

Rather than wondering where the year has gone, perhaps this halfway point offers us something much more valuable.

An opportunity to pause.

To reflect.

To reset.

To consciously choose how we want to experience the second half of the year.

What if you treated your life the same way successful businesses do?

Every six months, most businesses stop.

They review what's working.

They identify what's not.

They celebrate their wins.

They look honestly at where they've drifted off course.

Then they make adjustments before charging into the next six months.

So ...Why don't we do the same with our lives?

After all  ...You're the CEO of your own life.

Maybe it's time to schedule a meeting with yourself.

Not to criticise. Not to judge.

Simply to become consciously aware.

Because awareness is always where meaningful change begins.

Imagine walking into your own boardroom.

You take a seat at the head of the table. Across from you sits … You.

The CEO smiles.

"So ...How are we travelling?"

Not your bank account. Not your business. Not your social media.

You.

How's your energy? How's your nervous system? How's your health? How are your relationships?

Have you experienced enough joy this year? Are you having fun?

Do you actually like the life you're creating? Or have you become so busy living that you've forgotten to enjoy it?

They're not always easy questions, but they're important ones.

Because if we don't stop to reflect, we simply keep repeating.

One thing I've learned is that life rarely changes because we do.

Perhaps this halfway point isn't asking us to become someone different.

Perhaps it's simply asking us to become more intentional.

What's working that you'd love more of? What's quietly draining your energy? What have you outgrown? What are you still carrying simply because you've always carried it?

This is where my mantra keeps coming back: Let Go. Step Up. Be More.

Maybe it's time to let go of the expectations you've been carrying.

Maybe it's time to step up into the version of yourself you've been avoiding.

Maybe it's time to become more of who you already are instead of trying to become someone you're not.

I'm also finding myself embracing another philosophy more and more this year ...

Less is more.

Less rushing. Less proving. Less overthinking. Less saying yes out of obligation. Less filling every spare minute simply because we can.

Instead ...More presence. More joy. More connection. More space. More energy. More life.

As someone who works with energy and helps people create shifts through conscious awareness, I don't believe the second half of the year is about doing twice as much.

I think it's about becoming twice as intentional.

Sometimes the greatest transformation comes from doing less, but doing it with far greater purpose.

Perhaps that's one of the greatest lessons this Fire Horse year is teaching us.

Not to run faster … but to ride with greater awareness.

So before you race into the second half of the year, I encourage you to book a meeting with the most important person in your organisation.

You.

Sit quietly.

Go for a walk.

Head to your Outdoor Office.

Walk yourself like a dog.

Ask yourself some honest questions.

What has gone well? What needs to change? Where are you leaking your energy?

What brings you joy? What do you want more of? What are you finally ready to let go of?

And most importantly ...If you were starting the second half of the year today ...What would Future You thank you for doing?

Because at the end of the day, you're not just managing a calendar.

You're leading a life.

Trust. Believe. Allow.

💫Just Choose Life. Choose consciously. Live aligned.
